Quick 5

It's the most busiest weeeeeeeek of the year!

1. Jingle the Elf was up to his usual hi-jinks. We found him on Tuesday riding Applejack.
I can see the appeal. He fit perfectly. Applejack looks friendly enough. But apparently Applejack did NOT appreciate being ridden. She rallied her friends, and they decided to teach Jingle a lesson.
The My Little Ponies banded together and taped Jingle to the wall. We obviously weren't there to see it go down, but I imagine that there was quite the lecture from the ponies. As far as we can tell, Jingle DID learn his lesson. They seem to have reconciled.

2. Lee took four days off of work this week, in anticipation for me working in the annual Holiday Shop at the school. It turns out I didn't get to work there quite as much as I would have liked, but having him home sure helped so I could work a few shifts. Joya and Bria have gotten quite a bit of Daddy Time. It has involved Grilled Cheezit sandwiches and indoor croquet.
3. This weekend is the Christmas program at Valley View, so we had an epic rehearsal on Tuesday night. Lee is playing guitar, Alaina is in the program, and I'm directing the drama. so the whole family had to go. We didn't get the girls home until 9:30, which was a first for us.  I love that Alaina and Joya could handle it. Bria did okay at night, but was quite the emotional wreck the next day. Thankfully nights like that don't happen too often.

4. Speaking of the program, you are all invited! Come see our program A Christmas Tale this weekend! The show times are our regular service times, on Saturday at 5:15, and on Sunday at 9:00 and 10:30. It is such a fun show, and the cast has worked really hard on it. We'd love to see you there! And if you can't make it, you can always live stream the service during those service times at www.valleyviewcc.net.
5. Lee and I got to attend the Valley View staff Christmas party last night. It was such a lovely cap to the week. We went to the Alamo Drafthouse, the movie theater that serves dinner during the movie. We all watched Elf and had a good time playing around with that movie. I really enjoy working with that staff.

It's almost Christmastime!
