Instruction Time

Most instruction comes in the form of Mommy or Daddy instructing Alaina in some way.

"Don't drink the bathwater.  It's full of dirt from your body."
"Please leave your food on your plate.  You don't need to take it off and put it on the table."
"Pick up your crayons when you're done with them."

But last night, Alaina had some instructions for Daddy.  We had been watching The Magic School Bus, which I'm sure you all know features our favorite teacher, Miss Frizzle.  Alaina could not stop talking about Miss Frizzle at the dinner table.

"Miss Schizzle?" asked Daddy.
"Miss Rizzle," Alaina replied.
"Miss Dizzle?"
"Miss RIZZZle."
"Miss Wizzle?"
"Miss RIZZLE," Alaina waved her fork in emphasis.

"Yes, we know it's Miss Frizzle," I replied.
"No, DADDY, Miss Rizzle," Alaina said.

She was very calm during this whole exchange.  And it was very important to her that Daddy say it correctly.  It was very hard for him, since he was laughing so hard, but he got it eventually.  And Alaina finished her dinner.
